Basilia Garantia XIX (190 - 257 AIC) was the first empress in Garantinopolis reigning from 220 AIC till her death. From 241 AIC, she ruled alongside Soleimannos Garantius XX.

Early Life

She was the born the daughter of Optimus Garantius XVII. Basilia was tutored by Servius Magnus Makesinus alongside his nephew Gnaeus Magnus Makesinus. The three were close friends, with Basiliea and Gnaeus being especially close, acting as they were siblings.

In 205 AIC, Basilea participated in the sacrifice of the cow beginning the festival to Ceres on the 2nd day of calends of September.

In 213 AIC, Basilea married Jaffar, a prince from Haram. With the death of Optimus Garantius XVII in 214 AIC and the encroaching armies of Lorem Ipsum, Thure, and Nosamo during the Imperial Spring, Basilea fled Urbs Archadia and went to Haram. In 220 AIC, Jaffar conquered Garantinopolis and was proclaimed his wife the new empress, starting the Archadian Civil War.

Reign

In 225 AIC, Basilea had a son, Soleimannos. He ascended the throne after the death of his father in 241 AIC.
