Lettish Rodui

The Rodui are the main families or clans of Lettgalia. During the unification of the Letts under Boleslav, the major tribal land holders were incorporated as a ruling elite, and gained seats in the Seim, one for each Rod. The Rodui individually may levy duties and taxes upon lands they own, though not customs fees, and may maintain their own castles. The Rodui are also required to provide troops in times of war, depending on the size of their territory. There are some 137 Rodui with seats in the Sejm, with most Rodui being too small to qualify for a seat under the rule of admission.

• Naguiscii, Ivan Artjumovich Naguiscii: A Rod which claims relation to the ruling Nagy line of the Holy Archadian Empire through the issue of an ancient political marriage when the Letts and the other Nicolovian tribes were still associating.
