Balthasar IIIII is regarded as the least pious of the bishops. He built a grand palace in Greifenhausen. The palace caused great anger among the devout people of the city. To avoid the rising anger he journeyed west to visit Vineta, Lonian League. On his way back, messengers reported that the people of Greifenhausen planned to murder him. Balthasar promptly stopped his journey and ordered the foundation of Kapellenburg. Myths tell that God was angered by Balthasars actions and punished him by causing his death in Kapellenburg, indirectly sanctifying the new town. More neutral accounts suggest that sudden sickness might have been the cause of his demise.
First among the Balthasars to style himself Archbishop.
