Nicoloviana (Also known in local languages as: Nikolausberge Konföderation, Mikulovská konfederace, Miklósvárszövetség) is an elective monarchy in Hasperia. Its capital is Nicolovia. Nicolovia is divided by ethnicity as well as by religion. Its parliament is an assembly of higher and lower nobles and representatives from the cities. The current king, Joachim Frederick von Faendal was elected mid-november 1116 AIC shortly after Nicoloviana declared it's independence.
Being a part Confederation, Nicolovian provinces have varying degrees of integration into the state, with some provinces being only 'De Jure' members of it, while remaining parts of other neighboring countries.

History
Nicoloviana began as a loose confederation of various barbaric tribes invading the Archadian Empire from the north-east. In the year 537 AIC (or 1832 WE) the tribes were united in an elective kingdom.
After some time, Nicoloviana became a vassal state of the Vladimirian Vozdh.
After the death of Tzar Stephen II (late october 1116 AIC), Nicoloviana defiantly declared independence and was soon backed by the Archadian and Feandish Empires, successfully dissuading the Vladimirian Vozdh from any attempt at re-annexation.
Politics
The Confederal Diet of Nicolovia is the legislative body of the state.
