Balthasar IIII was the leader of Schonen. He is mostly known for ordering the construction of the monastery at the top of Balthasars Rock. He spent most of his time as the bishop traveling the countryside and promoting settlement west of the Aader. He died during one such journey in the village of Kirchdorf.
