The Azurian Army is the land warfare branch to the azurian military. It was created right after the founding of Azurien in 880 AIC. It is part of the executive branch and has the purpose of preserving the peace and security of Azurien and its provinces, supporting and implementing the national policies and objectives and overcoming any power that is a threat to peace and freedom.
Organization
The army is divided into several branches. The main branches are Brigade Groups, Fortress Defense and Conscription and Training. Corps include infantry, cavalry, riflemen, cannoneers, quartermasters, sappers, field engineers and provisions.
Stationing
The troops are stationed and trained at the fortresses and strongholds all over Azurien. These include:
- Blackwood Outpost, unmanned border keep
- Fort Dunbal, main military base, largest training ground
- Soldier's Death, best defended stronghold in Azurien
- Stonehall Castle, border fortress
- Waterline Keep, harbor fortress
