Batinid Sultanate is a sultanate in the western desert mesas of Arrakis. The current Sultan is Bashar al-Bassad.
History
The valley of the river Riyasa have been inhabited since time immemorial. Different clans of the the Bassi have battled for dominance, until recently when Bashar al-Bassad united the clans and created the Batinid Sultanate. Batinid means united in the Bassian language.
Religion
The Batinid worship the river goddess Riyasa. Their rites consist of celebrating the life giving water of the river.
