Padurile is a region and was a duchy-rank title in the Principality of Vlachia. Its vassals include the Ispanship of Mikau, the Ispanship of Gucharov, the Ispanship of Mesteacan, the Boyarship of Gucharov and the Boyarship of Racari. The region is the ancestral home of the House of Basarab, the reigning dynasty in Vlachia ever since Alexandru Basarab overthrew Dragos III in the Vlachian Civil War.
