Historians have speculated that this period could have been caused by the decline of the First Archadian Empire after its defeat in the Great Inner Sea War.

What were previously tribes established Germanic states, such as Faendal, Nicoloviana, and Karlsbund. All of these states would eventually abandon their former religions and adopt Aurelianity.
