'''Cleon Bellisarius Garantius XLV''' (867-882 [[AIC]]) was [[Archadian Emperors|emperor]] of the [[Holy Archadian Empire]] from 881 to 882 AIC. The second son of [[Baldassare Velisario]], he ascended the throne after his brother, [[Nicodemus Belisarius]], was missing for three years. He was assassinated less than a year into his reign.

== Reign ==
After his coronation in 881 AIC, he announced that we would be marrying his sister, [[Berenike Garantia]]. She had been the regent during the three years of interregnum and was widely considered to be using his brother as a puppet. The marriage shocked [[Omnicans]], both citizens and nobles, despite it being with the blessing of the [[Heliarch]].

During the reign, Berenike, Cleon's wife and now co-ruler, attempted to wield most authority whilst Cleon was mostly content with being passive.
