Alexandru III

Alexandru III was Domnitor of the Principality of Vlachia from the House of Basarab in the period immediately following the Vlachian Civil War. Before his rebellion, he was Voivode of Padurile and Ispan of Mikau. His rule was marked by ruthlessness and cruelty as he attempted to stamp out all Aurelian dissidents and Draculesti supporters from Vlachia. He approached the Vladimirian Vozdh for assistance in maintaining his independence from the Holy Archadian Empire, an act that his successors would soon remorse as Vozdina began to extend their influence over the Vlachians in the coming decades.
