Petru Draculesti, later Petru Vestul, was Voivode of Vestul and Ispan of Draculesti. During his reign, he appointed Rurik to be Boyar of the the village of Draculesti.
In the 880s AIC, he conspired with Alexandru Basarab and the rest of the House of Basarab to overthrow the ruling Domnitor, Dragos III Draculesti. This led to the Vlachian Civil War which resulted in the crowning of Alexandru II. For his support, he was granted the Ispanship of Gucharov.
