The Rikehovn Incident was a border conflict in 213 AIC between the Archadian Empire and Thure. The incident followed the Thurian War of Independence which redrew the border between Thure and the empire. Maps produced by the Archadian Empire showed the village of Rikehovn as part of the province of Praxidea, whereas maps produced by Thure showed that the village was theirs. The diplomatic incident occured when builders from Thure, who were building a road to the village, were ejected from the village by an Archadian official. The builders complained to the Thing, who sent an envoy to the Archadian Emperor Optimus Garantius XVII who intervened and ceded the village to Thure.
The incident was seen as an example of imperial weakness in the period, worrying Kryeran observers especially. Embolded by their victory, Thure would later declare war on the empire in the Imperial Spring.
